Living room at Elexis Haven, looking toward the garden

Rhodes Park · Lusaka

Elexis Haven

A private two-bedroom home behind the wall. Designed for quiet stays, with solar backup, stored water, and space for two cars.

A warm welcome

Your home in Rhodes Park.

Hosted by Helen & Donovan in Lusaka. The house sleeps five, sits inside a locked yard, and is built for the way the city actually runs — power, water, and privacy first.

Built for Lusaka

Power, water, and a locked gate.

These are the details that decide a stay here. We put them on the homepage on purpose.

Solar backup

Luxpower inverter and battery storage so lights, wifi, and the essentials keep running when the grid does not.

Water tank

On-site storage so showers and the kitchen are not tied to the municipal hour.

Walled and gated

Electric fence, exterior cameras on the yard only, and two parking spaces inside the wall.

Wifi

House wifi throughout. Login details are sent after your booking is confirmed — not published here.

Air-conditioning

Bedrooms and the living room, so the house stays usable in the hot months.

Hosts in Lusaka

Helen and Donovan host from Lusaka. They handle arrival, keys, and anything that comes up during the stay.

The yard

A private lawn behind the wall.

Flower beds, a covered terrace, and the sitting-room windows looking onto the grass. Two cars park at the entrance, under the stone.

Private courtyard, lawn and flower beds

Rhodes Park

What to do from the house.

You are in one of the few Lusaka neighbourhoods where a morning can stay local: coffee, a gallery, a mall run, a hospital if you need one — then back behind the gate.

In the neighbourhood

Lechwe Trust Gallery

Zambian painting, print and sculpture on Lagos Road. Free entry, Tuesday to Saturday — the quietest good hour from the house.

A short drive

Manda Hill, Arcades & EastPark

The three malls that actually matter. Groceries, pharmacies, cinema, and the Sunday craft market in the Arcades car park.

A short drive

Kabwata Cultural Village

Wood, baskets, chitenge and workshops. The honest place to buy something that did not come from an airport shelf.

If you have a morning

Lusaka National Museum

A compact read on the country before you leave town. Pair it with Cairo Road or the showgrounds if you have a driver for the day.

Further out

Munda Wanga & Lilayi

Gardens and a small game drive south of the city when you want green, not malls. Best with the house car.

Practical

CFB Hospital

Twenty-four hour hospital on Addis Ababa Drive, in Rhodes Park. Medland and Forest Park are the other close options.

We arrange it

Days out from the house.

Safari, elephants, the Falls. You ask on WhatsApp. We book the operator, hold the vehicle, and send you the day’s plan. No hunting for a desk in a mall.

45 minutes east

Chaminuka day visit

A private 10,000-acre reserve. Game drive, buffet lunch, Kaposhi cheese, a boat on the lake. The easiest real safari from the house — and the one guests actually take.

From $55 / person

We book the day’s package and can drive you in the house car.

Lusaka National Park

Orphan elephant viewing

Game Rangers International’s Wildlife Discovery Centre. Feeding is 11:30–13:00. A conservation hour, not a petting zoo — you watch from the deck.

Entry + donation

Best with the house car. We time the drive so you are not late for feeding.

35 minutes south

Lilayi Lodge

Game drive on a 650-hectare farm, a walking safari, and wine tasting as the sun drops. Close enough to be back for dinner in Rhodes Park.

Day visit on request

We hold a table and a vehicle.

Three hours east

Lower Zambezi overnight

River camps, canoeing past elephants, sunset on the water. Two nights is the right length. The trip guests extend for.

From ~$400 / person / night

We place you with a riverside camp and handle the transfer.

One hour by air

Victoria Falls, Livingstone

Devil’s Pool in season, a helicopter over the spray, a sunset cruise. Proflight from Lusaka. Two nights is enough if you are not rushing.

Two-night add-on

We book flights, lodge, and activities as one note.

All notes

The add-on that pays

Victoria Falls after a Lusaka stay

Proflight is an hour. Two nights in Livingstone is enough for the Falls, a helicopter, and a sunset cruise — then fly home, or come back to the house.

Stay longer, pay less per night
